    Choral Society of Pensacola releases schedule for 2024-25 season

    PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — The Choral Society of Pensacola is returning for its 89th season, and officials announced the concert schedule.

    According to the society’s press release, the 2024-2025 season includes four concerts performed by a 100-voice chorus conducted by director Peter Steenblik.

    Here is the full schedule:

    Wine and Song’: Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at 5:30 pm. in the Sanders Beach-Corrine Jones Community Center — Presented by the Choral Society and Aragon Wine Market + Wine Bar, the 21-and-older event offers guests the opportunity to taste wines from six different countries while listening to choral selections.

    Magnificat’: Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart — The release said that the program will feature arrangements from two familiar carols, three selections from Handel’s “Messiah,” and soloists from Pensacola Opera’s Jan Miller Studio Artists.

    Still Rising’: Friday, March 28, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the University of West Florida Center for Fine and Performing Arts — The performances are being held for Women’s History Month and will feature a multimedia presentation of Andrea Ramsey’s “Suffrage Cantata,” according to the release.

    Amazing Grace’: Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church — According to the release, the program features “sacred music in a sacred space.” The concert includes “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes, Augustus Hailstork’s cantata based on texts from the psalms, and excerpts from Felix Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah.”

    Those who wish to attend the above concerts can buy subscriptions for a quartet (a four-package concert including Wine and Song) or a trio (a three-concert package featuring the final three concerts).

    Prices are listed below:

    • Quartet Adult ticket (Ages 21-64): $140 + $3.79 in fees
    • Quartet Senior ticket (Ages 65+): $125 + $3.49 in fees
    • Quartet Military ticket (Active duty service members and veterans 21+): $125 + $3.49 in fees
    • Trio Adult ticket (Ages 21-64): $70 + $2.49 in fees
    • Trio Senior ticket (Ages 65+): $55 + $2.19 in fees
    • Trio Military ticket (Active duty service members and veterans 21+): $55 + $2.19 in fees
    • Trio Student ticket (Full-time students ages 12+): $25 + $1.59 in fees
