Niceville 9-11 Stair climb

NICEVILLE, Fla. (WKRG) –Dozens of people in Niceville took part in an event to honor the people lost on 9-11. Members of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office hosted a 9-11 event at Niceville High School Saturday morning .

Participants repeatedly climbed the stairs at the stadium. 2,071 steps represented the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers. The 23rd anniversary of 9-11 is this Wednesday.

Others tributes are happening around the coast this week. This Wednesday at 9, the Fairhope Police Department will host its annual 9-11 prayer service at the police station.
