ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Officials with the Escambia County Sheriff’s are investigating after a threat was made against a high school. According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office , deputies were contacted Saturday about a possible threat to Flomaton High School.

The post says, while their investigation continues, they don’t believe the high school threat is legitimate. As a precaution, all schools will have extra police presence Monday morning. That includes law enforcement from East Brewton, Atmore, and Flomaton.

The post does not describe the nature of the threat or how it was communicated. The post does not indicate any arrest has been made at this time.
