USPS seeking carriers for rural Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The United States Postal Service is seeking postal carriers to help deliver mail across rural areas of Alabama.

The service is hosting 9 careers fairs on September 10 from 10:00 am – 2 pm in an effort to fill open positions. Local postmasters and team members will be onsite at all career fairs to answer questions and help with the application process.

According to a news release, the positions of rural carrier associate and assistant rural carrier are available in 118 cities. Both positions start at $20.38 per hour.
