HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Detonations are scheduled at Hurlburt Field this week.

According to a Hurlburt Field news release, the 823rd Red Horse Squadron will conduct explosive demolition training between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Hurlburt Field Range.

The release said nearby residents could hear loud noises or feel the vibrations of the demolition charge detonations throughout that day.

High humidity or cloud coverage can make the effects seem louder and closer compared to clear days, News 5 has learned.
