Suspect arrested after Broad Street shooting: Mobile Police

UPDATE (12:06 p.m. Sept. 13): The Mobile Police Department has identified the suspect arrested in connection with a Thursday evening shooting, News 5 has learned.

Darian Thomas Chatman, 33, of Mobile, was arrested on a first-degree assault charge, according to the Mobile Jail Log.

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Mobile Police have arrested a person after a male was shot Thursday night on Broad Street.

An MPD spokesperson said officers responded to a shooting on Broad Street just south of Texas Street before 6 p.m. Thursday.

The victim has been taken to a local hospital for treatment of his minor injuries.
