    4 people killed, 1 injured in single-vehicle Mobile County crash: ALEA

    MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Four people were killed and one person was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Mobile County on Sept. 2 around 6 a.m., according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

    According to an ALEA spokesperson, 41-year-old Richard D. Dees of Mount Vernon, 28-year-old Savana M. Fuell of Mount Vernon, 34-year-old Brittney N. Goolsby of Satsuma, and a newborn child were killed after a 2016 Ford Explorer they were all in left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire.

    All four people were pronounced dead at the scene. The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences identified all four of them.

    30-year-old Kalan A. Weaver of McIntosh was injured in the crash and taken to University Hospital in Mobile for treatment.

    The crash occurred on Sam Jones Avenue near Denny Street in the Mount Vernon city limits.
