OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A 15-year-old girl was arrested on Sept. 13 after she sent threats to a 12-year-old on social media to hurt or shoot him, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

An OCSO news release said the 15-year-old made threats on Sept. 4 through the social media app Snapchat toward the 12-year-old.

The 12-year-old told deputies that the teenager had threatened them due to an incident involving the teen’s girlfriend, according to officials.

Officials said the teenager sent a photo of herself to the victim where she was seen holding a gun along with texts to “shoot or hurt him after classes ended at Pryor Middle School or outside her apartment.”

The release said deputies were able to track down the teenager’s home and no weapons were found.

The teenager had recently moved back to Okaloosa County from another state and was not enrolled or attending classes in the county, according to officials.
