Mobile man arrested after traffic stop turns into police pursuit: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A traffic stop turned into a pursuit and felony arrest for one man, according to the Mobile Police Department.

The MPD said in a press release that Darius Williams, 30, was arrested after officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Government Boulevard and Knob Hill Drive for a traffic violation.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

According to police, the driver, later identified as Williams, did not stop and led officers on a pursuit. The pursuit reportedly ended in the 4500 block of Halls Mill Road.

Williams was arrested and charged with felony attempt to elude, according to jail records.
