    Shalimar man claims $1 million prize: Florida Lottery

    PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A Shalimar, Florida man has claimed a $1 million prize from the $20 Monopoly Doubler Scratch-Off game at the Florida Lottery’s Pensacola District Office.

    According to a news release from the Florida Lottery, 54-year-old Roy Boyer II chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $798,985.

    Boyer bought his winning ticket at Raceway at 1183 North Eglin Parkway in Pensacola.

    LOCATION:

    Austal USA awarded contract — new facility, jobs coming to Mobile

    That Raceway location received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

    The $20 Monopoly Doubler’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.02, according to the Florida Lottery.
