    ‘Smoke on the Farm’ event to help nonprofit support uninsured adults on the Gulf Coast

    GRAND BAY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Grilling steaks will help a local nonprofit provide affordable health care to the medically underserved at the upcoming “Smoke on the Farm” event.

    Smoke on the Farm is a BBQ Competition and SCA Steak Cook-off event put on by Piggly Wiggly and Mason Hills Farm. It is scheduled to take place at Mason Hills Farm in Grand Bay on Oct. 11 (from 4 to 8:30 p.m.) and Oct. 12 (10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.).

    EVENT LOCATION:

    According to organizers, the event features a grilling competition, food, and drinks.

    Those who wish to compete can choose from registering their team for the SCA Competition ( $160 entry fee and registration ) or the People’s Choice Competition ($150 for a team of four or $250 for a team of six). Those who do not want to compete can also attend the event. Tickets are priced at $100 for VIPs, $15 for adults (18+), and $10 for kids (11-17).

    All proceeds benefit Victory Health Partners , an organization that provides medical care for uninsured adults along the Gulf Coast.
