    Santa Rosa County’s final fiscal year 2025 budget to be presented this week

    SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Santa Rosa County Office of Management and Budget and the county administrator will present the final fiscal year 2025 budget to the county commission board on Tuesday.

    The public hearing will take place at the administrative complex (located at 6495 Caroline St. in Milton) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

    PUBLIC HEARING LOCATION:

    This hearing will be the second regarding the fiscal year 2025 budget.

    According to a county news release, the FY2025 budget amounts to $265,596,869. This is an increase of $14 million compared to the FY2024 budget or a 5.7% increase in total operating expenditures.

    The county noted the county’s taxable value increased by 9.7% compared to FY2024, which resulted in a $6.5 million growth in property tax revenue. Increases of note include a 10% escalation in operating expenses, 14% in personnel costs, and 42% in grants and aid.

    Those who cannot attend Tuesday’s meeting can submit comments on a public input forum .
