Prichard police investigating discovery of unidentified body

PRICHARD, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Prichard police are investigating after an unidentified body was found in an abandoned residence.

Prichard police officers responded around 3 p.m. Wednesday to a call reporting the discovery of an unidentified body on the 300 block of E. Allenby Street.

LOCATION:

Authorities could not identify the person due to the condition of the body, News 5 has learned.

Prichard Police’s Major Crime Unit detectives are investigating and waiting for the results of an autopsy to confirm the body’s identity and the cause of death.

PPD asks anyone with information to come forward.
