    Mobile man accused of stealing electric bicycle, fraudulently using card at Walmart: Police

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Mobile man is accused of second-degree burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card, according to Mobile Police.

    According to a news release from MPD, officers responded to the report of a person’s debit card being fraudulently used Tuesday night around 7:54 at the Walmart at 2570 Government Blvd.

    LOCATION:

    When officers arrived, they found a man in possession of the victim’s debit cards inside the store, according to an MPD news release. That man was identified as 40-year-old Matthew Wesley Fitzpatrick.

    Mobile police alleged that Fitzpatrick stole an electric bicycle on Monday, Sept. 16, with the victim’s wallet inside of the bike basket from a residence on the 3700 block of Tudor Lane.

    LOCATION:

    Fitzpatrick was arrested and taken to Metro Jail, and he remains there.
