Band of the Week: George County High School

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Congratulations to The George County Pride Band for winning JBT Power Band of the Week for week 5 of 5th Quarter!

The George County Pride Band is led by the drum majors Lorelei Hodge and Grace Howel .

The band is also led by Band Director Al Gunsch, and Associate Director of Bands and Director of Percussion Derrick Williams.

The band consists of 87 students.

The George County High School has had many superior ratings in percussion, color guard, drum major and overall band over the past several years.

The band placed second at the 2024 Louisiana Mississippi Color Guard and Percussion Circuit Championships – Concert Percussion Division.

The band will travel to Orlando, Florida, in February to perform in a parade at Universal Studios Florida.
