6 Mobile roads to close for railroad track improvements

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — CSX Railroad will work on track improvements throughout Mobile County over the next few weeks, according to a news release from the City of Mobile.

The city’s release said the locations within Mobile’s limits will require road closures starting Tuesday, Oct. 1, through Monday, Oct. 14.

Here is a list of the roads that will be closed on Oct. 1:

• Canal Street
• Palmetto Street
• Short Texas Street
• Virginia Street
• Hamilton Boulevard
• Cary Hamilton Road
