Former Mobile Police officer arrested, charged with first-degree rape

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A former officer with the Mobile Police Department has been arrested and charged with first-degree rape, according to the Mobile County Jail log.

According to MPD officials, 24-year-old Jonathan Tyler Leach was fired from the department in June 2024. However, officials said his termination was unrelated to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office case.
