Man accused of hitting someone with board: Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Officers with the Mobile Police Department are searching for a man they said hit another man with a board Thursday evening.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the area of Summerville Street and Florida Street Extension around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, for a report of an assault.

When officers arrived, they said they found that a man was walking in the area when a man he did not know hit him with a board.

By the time the officers arrived, the suspect had left the area, according to MPD.

The man was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

MPD said this is an ongoing investigation.
