    Mobile teen arrested after man injured in alleged robbery

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A local teenager was arrested after she allegedly helped to orchestrate a robbery that sent her boyfriend to the hospital, according to the Mobile Police Department.

    MPD said in a news release that Lacey Nicole Hollingsworth, 18, of Mobile was arrested after officers responded to an incident at 1001 Schillinger Road S. (West Side Baseball Park) at around 6:45 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.

    INCIDENT LOCATION:

    According to police, a male victim and his girlfriend were standing at the location when a known male suspect approached them and robbed the victim of his wallet, cutting him in the process.

    The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident.

    Hollingsworth was taken to the Metro Jail and charged with first-degree robbery after police said investigations found that the victim’s girlfriend helped to orchestrate the robbery.

    This is an active investigation, according to police.
