    2 Fairhope men arrested after breaking into vehicles: Police

    FAIRHOPE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Two Fairhope men were taken into custody on Tuesday morning after they reportedly broke into a vehicle and were found with drugs.

    According to the Fairhope Police Department, a resident of North Circle in the Rock Creek neighborhood confronted someone attempting to break into his car and called the police around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

    LOCATION:

    The resident gave officers a description of the suspect and the vehicle he used to leave the scene.

    Another officer later initiated a traffic stop that led to the discovery of stolen items from North Circle, Sandstone Court and Sandy Shoal Loop.

    20-year-old Samuel Bradford Carter is accused of two counts of breaking and entering a vehicle, receiving stolen property (which was a weapon) and possession of a controlled substance.

    18-year-old Blaine Alexander Rawden is accused of receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana.

    FPD recovered several items such as a handgun and returned them to their owners.
