    Mobile nonprofit helps cancer patients going through chemotherapy around the world

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — What started with one person’s cancer diagnosis has stretched to cancer patients around the world.

    Fighting With Hope was started to share tips, tricks and items that will help tackle the side effects of chemotherapy.

    Emily King has been battling colon cancer since 2019 when she was diagnosed at age 27.

    She and her husband, Brady, created the non-profit to support others with cancer in the midst of her going through her own healing journey.

    Fighting With Hope sends free “chemo box” care packages to cancer patients all over the world.

    Anybody can request a box through the Fighting With Hope website .

    The couple recently hit a major milestone — they have surpassed 1,000 chemo boxes sent since they started the non-profit in 2021.

    They will be celebrating the milestone on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Innovation Portal. Tickets can be purchased on the website.
