    Escambia County deputies investigating church burglary

    ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — Deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a church was burglarized Thursday afternoon.

    According to ECSO officials, deputies were called to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church around 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 10 for a report of a burglary.

    When deputies arrived, they said they found three of the church windows were broken, along with a piece of asphalt that they believe was used to break the windows.

    ECSO officials said about $1,200 worth of items, including a computer and $100 worth of loose change, were taken.

    The building received $3,500 worth of damage, according to officials.
