MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — District 2 congressional candidate Caroleene Dobson says she misspoke when she said she supports liquefied natural gas terminals for Mobile Bay and the Alabama coast.

When speaking with WKRG News 5 about energy independence and the need to expand natural gas industries in the state, Dobson said she “absolutely” favored LNG terminals for the Mobile area.

Friday, in a statement sent to WKRG News 5, Dobson spokesperson Drew Dickson said, “In voicing her support for maximizing natural gas production in Alabama, Caroleene was talking about the traditional drilling production that has brought billions of dollars of revenues into our state budgets.

“Because of the potential environmental damage and dangers of explosion surrounding liquified natural gas production, she does not support its use on Alabama’s Gulf Coast or anywhere in the state.”

Nope. No walking back allowed. Which is the lie? Or should we just assume both are huge whoppers?
