Mobile police arrest man found inside stolen vehicle: MPD

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Officers with the Mobile Police Department arrested a man they said was found inside of a stolen vehicle.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the 5000 block of Plantation Oaks Drive around 2:15 p.m. Monday for a report of a stolen vehicle parked at the location.

Officers arrived and said they found a man inside the vehicle. The man then tried to run from the area but was caught by police, according to officials.

Further investigation allegedly revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from another state.

19-year-old Gage Caviness was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
