    Mobile police investigating stabbing on Airport Boulevard — what we know

    UPDATE (1:10 p.m.): News 5 has learned more about a stabbing that reportedly occurred overnight.

    “On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Westwood Street in reference to someone cut,” the Mobile Police Department said in a statement to News 5. “Upon arrival, officers discovered a male suffering from a knife injury. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.”

    An investigation revealed that the male was involved in a fight with people at Public Safety Memorial Park “a short time earlier,” the statement said. The park is located at 2301 Airport Blvd.

    No one has been charged in connection with the incident, according to police, who said they’ve handed the case to the Mobile County District Attorney’s office.

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — The Mobile Police Department is investigating a stabbing that reportedly occurred overnight at the Mobile Skateboard Park on Airport Boulevard.

    Police responded to a 911 call for a report of a stabbing going into Wednesday. Officials said they found a man with a stab wound at Westwood Street.

    A witness stated that the stabbing took place at the Mobile Skateboard Park, and the victim ran to Westwood Street to call for help.

    Police said they do not have a suspect or know what led to the incident.

    The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown, but he was taken to a nearby hospital, News 5 has learned.
