    National Take Back Day — where to drop off old prescriptions in Northwest Florida

    PENSACOLA, Fla. ( WKRG ) — National Take Back Day is Oct. 26, 2024, and several places in Northwest Florida accept old and unwanted prescriptions.

    New Pace High School homecoming queen crowned after ‘voting discrepancy’

    CDAC Behavioral Healthcare is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration to dispose of expired, unwanted, and unused drugs safely, according to a news release.

    The national day was created “as a reminder to all to take responsibility in helping prevent prescription drug misuse and abuse,” the release said.

    Places that will accept these prescriptions include:

    Walgreens (24/7)

    • 870 E. Cervantes St., Pensacola
    • 2237 W. 9 Mile Road, Pensacola
    • 8220 Navarre Parkway, Navarre
    • 3909 Highway 90, Pace

    Walmart Pharmacy (during pharmacy hours)

    • 4600 Mobile Highway, Pensacola
    • 501 N. Navy Blvd., Pensacola

    CVS (24/7)

    • 6888 N. 9th Ave., Pensacola
    • 2090 S. Highway 90, Cantonment
    • 6501 Caroline St./Highway 90, Milton
    • 1322 College Parkway, Gulf Breeze
    • 3359 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze
