    Four arrested in Bay County shooting incident, multiple firearms recovered

    BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of four individuals after a shooting in Bayou George over the weekend.

    According to officials, early Saturday morning officers responded to an address on Charles Road in Bayou George about a shooting. When they arrived they found a man had been shot, he has since been treated for his injuries and remains in the hospital.

    It was found that the victim agreed to sell a small amount of marijuana to another man. The man arrived on the scene along with two other individuals, when the victim got into the car the driver attacked the victim and shot him in the back. The victim was pushed out of the car and the suspects fled the scene, BCSO said.

    The suspect’s vehicle was quickly located at an address in Springfield with the victim’s phone sitting on the floorboard.

    After a search warrant was obtained, ten individuals were found inside the home, seven of them in the age range of 15-20 years old which was the reported ages of the shooting suspects.

    One man was taken into custody after he was found to have a handgun in his possession, officials said.

    The search warrant resulted in the recovery of four firearms, three handguns, and a rifle. BCSO said one of the handguns was confirmed to be the one used in the shooting. 23 grams of marijuana was also recovered from one of the vehicles searched.

    BCSO investigators have charged 18-year-old Panama City resident Dexter Owens with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Firearm, he is being held on a $250,000 bond.

    Nathan Alexander, 19, of Panama City has been charged with Principal to Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Principal to Robbery with a Firearm, and Violation of Probation for his original charge of a firearm-related crime. Alexander is being held on a $100,000 bond.

    Not involved with the original shooting but also charged with crimes from the search warrant was Juliana Connelly, 18, of Panama City, for Possession of Marijuana more than 20 grams and Violation of Pre-trial Release for an original charge of Burglary with a Battery. Connelly is being held without bond for the release violation.

    As well as Ayden Saliba, 19, of Panama City, for Possession of Marijuana more than 20 grams and Pre-trial Release Violation for an original Firearm-related charge, he is also being held without bond for the release violation.

    Bay County Sheriff’s Office said more charges are expected in this case.
