Band of the Week: Fairhope High School

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Congratulations to Fairhope High School’s Buccaneer Band for winning JBT Power Band of the Week for week 8 of 5th Quarter!

The Buccaneer Band is led by the drum majors, Addison Vontrobe, Gustavo Aguilera, and Sydney Gray .

The band is also led by band directors, Meredyth Peterson and Tyler Butler.

The Fairhope High School Wind Ensemble was accepted to perform at the Alabama Music Educators In-Service Conference in January of 2024, and was selected to perform again in January of 2025.  Many members of the Fairhope Band program consistently make state honor bands and all-state band every year. The band consistently receives superior ratings at marching competitions and concert band assessments.

The Buccaneer Band members are dedicated to performing on Friday nights and at competitions.
