Woman killed in shooting at Cleco Drive apartments; suspect at large

PINEVILLE, La. ( WNTZ ) — A 27-year-old woman was fatally shot on the evening of October 16, 2024, at the Cleco Drive Apartments, police reported.

Officers responded to the scene at 500 Cleco Drive around 6:30 p.m., where they found Monashia Marzett deceased from a gunshot wound. Initial investigations indicate that three individuals were present in the residence at the time of the shooting.

Police have identified Jacorius Issac, 23, of Alexandria, as the suspect. Issac reportedly fled the scene in a 2014 white Nissan Altima, Louisiana license plate MH15363. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on murder charges.

Issac, described as a 5-foot-tall Black male weighing approximately 130 pounds, is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are urging the public not to approach him but to contact law enforcement immediately if spotted.
