Man arrested after Bay Minette police, Baldwin County deputies find drugs, gun in home: BMPD

BAY MINETTE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A man was arrested Friday after a search warrant on a home led to law enforcement finding drugs and guns, according to the Bay Minette Police Department.

According to a BMPD news release, their officers and deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations and Narcotics Command Units executed a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of East Banyan Street on Oct. 18.

During the search, officials said they found one pound of high-grade marijuana, an unspecified amount of U.S. currency, four handguns, one AR-15 rifle, and multiple cell phones.

The release said two of the handguns found had previously been reported stolen.

20-year-old Montese Latez French was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, two counts of second-degree receiving stolen property, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

French is in the Baldwin County Corrections Center on a $13,500 bond, according to the release.
