    Community survey: Improvements for Ewing Burchett Park in Clarksville

    CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The city of Clarksville announced a plan to make “significant improvements” to Ewing Burchett Park, and the Parks and Recreation Department is asking for residents’ opinions on what those upgrades should be.

    In a press release, the city announced that the plan for upgrades was made possible by a grant of $495,000 from the Clarksville Firefighters Foundation.

    The park plans to use the money create a new green space for play, to replace the current basketball court and to install a new fully accessible playground.

    The release stated that additional land was donated by the Burchett family to facilitate the expansion of the park.

    As plans begin to develop, the parks and recreation department is seeking input from Clarksville residents on what improvements they would like to see made to the park.
