    Jack-knifed tractor-trailer leads to miles-long backup on I-65N in Robertson County

    ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Motorists were backed up for miles along Interstate 65 in Robertson County Wednesday afternoon due to a tractor-trailer crash.

    According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) , a tractor-trailer jack-knifed shortly before 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21. As a result, all northbound lanes and the right shoulder were temporarily closed at mile marker 118.4 on I-65.

    At 1:45 p.m., TDOT’s traffic camera showed motorists at a standstill at mile marker 110 of I-65 North. However, by 3:30 p.m., the camera showed traffic moving along the interstate after the northbound lanes reopened, but the right shoulder remained blocked.

    By 5 p.m., TDOT’s SmartWay Map showed that the scene had been cleared and traffic had returned to a normal flow.

    No additional details have been released about this incident, including whether anyone was injured in the crash.
