CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — More than two months after a man was killed in a Clarksville crash, police announced a 19-year-old has been indicted for multiple offenses, including vehicular homicide.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, officers responded to a collision along Peachers Mill Road, near Allen Griffey Road, at approximately 7:50 p.m. on June 16. Huey Johnson, 47, of Clarksville, died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Authorities said the investigation showed that two vehicles were traveling at an excessive speed just before the crash, resulting in Johnson’s death.

More than a week later, officials announced the initial information from witnesses indicated the second vehicle involved in the incident was a red Ford Focus — even though it was previously described by law enforcement as a red Ford Fusion — but the investigation proved it was actually a maroon Kia K5.

Police said they found that “second, non-contact vehicle” and interviewed the driver — identified as 19-year-old Briana Golden of Clarksville — on June 24.

According to authorities, an investigator from the Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) worked with the District Attorney’s office and presented evidence about the incident during the Montgomery County Grand Jury’s August session. Then, the grand jury returned a sealed indictment for Golden.

Officials said Golden was arrested on Aug. 13 and charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, driver to exercise due care, and speeding. Her bond was set at $90,000.

No additional details have been released about this case, which is pending prosecution as of Friday, Aug. 23.
