Gant’s trial for the December 2020 murder of 28-year-old Seth Stephens began on Monday. The victim’s mother, Rachael Stephens, had testified. Seth’s life was taken while he was working at the New King Mao restaurant.

The District Attorney’s Office claimed that Gant walked in, demanded money, and shot Seth when Seth refused to hand it over. Attorneys also claimed that Gant confessed the crime to his sister.
