The department later confirmed that officer Brendan Myers was the one killed in the crash. Myers was a three-year member of the Lebanon Police Department.

According to a crash report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), Myers was traveling westbound on Aviation Way on a 2024 Suzuki Hayabusa when he “failed to maintain control of the vehicle, ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with a metal fence, resulting in fatal injuries.”

Authorities reported Myers was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.

Later, on Facebook , the Lebanon Police Department said that their hearts were with Myers’ family as they navigate grief.

“We offer our deepest condolences and unwavering support to all who are mourning this profound loss,” the department said.
