VAN BUREN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Community members were asked to avoid a certain section of Fall Creek Falls State Park due to what officials described as an “active law enforcement emergency” Wednesday morning.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department posted about the emergency along Park Road on the north side of the park shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

“There is a heavy law enforcement presence as well as other emergency agencies,” authorities said. “No one except emergency personnel will be allowed to enter this area.”
