ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) — A killer remains on the run after being accused of fatally shooting a teenager.

It happened just before midnight Tuesday when Metro police said that 19-year-old Jerod Robb was shot and killed outside an Antioch apartment complex. Investigators said that Robb didn’t live at the complex.

Robb was the typical younger brother to Asia Earwood. Earwood said that she was numb when she got the news.

“You could not be mad at him for long,” Earwood said. “He loved his mama, his sisters — it just sucks. He was so sweet. He had the biggest, brightest smile.”

Skyia Mackie, Robb’s sister, remembered getting the news at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

“My heart sunk into my stomach,” Mackie said. “She’s like, ‘Your brother died.’ I immediately was just in disbelief. I’m in disbelief because — this can’t be real.”

As of publication, police do not have a suspect.

“We want justice for our brother,” Mackie said. “We want to know the truth about what happened…All we want at this point is to be able to lay him to rest.”
