Fur Baby Friday: Meet Bodie!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Nashville Humane Association (NHA) is trying to help a big boy find a forever family who loves adventure as much as he does.

The shelter said Bodie is 1 year old, weighs approximately 72 pounds, and looks like a mix of a Black Labrador Retriever and a Shepherd.

According to the NHA, Bodie has already experienced so much in his short life. He was initially found as a stray in a wildlife management area, believed to have been dumped. However, that hasn’t stopped this pooch from bringing love and light to the world around him!

The shelter reported that Bodie is always up for an outdoor adventure and enjoys playing with his favorite toys. He has also made a handful of friends among the other dogs in NHA’s care, even becoming a wrestling and chasing champion.

The NHA described Bodie as a very intelligent dog who already knows “sit” and “touch,” but he’s currently working on expanding his skills. He also walks well on a leash and does well in the car.

“When you visit Bodie, you might see him barking in his kennel,” the shelter said. “We hope you don’t take his kennel presence to heart, as he’s trying his hardest to get someone to notice how special he is! We think he’s trying to tell you he will be a loyal companion, your adventure buddy for life, and never let a day go by without a cuddle!”
