NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A family wants answers after a man was murdered.

Christopher Walters, 41, was shot and killed last month in Nashville — potentially over a moped. Walters was known as the free spirit in his family.

“Christopher was very outgoing, funny, spunky,” his cousin, Amber Byer, told News 2. “Just the life of the party.”

    Walters was homeless, Byer added.

“He liked to run around from state to state and hitchhike…” she said. “He would say, ‘Oh, now I want to go see somewhere different, so I’m going to hitchhike there.’ I think my cousin Chris got to see more states than I’ve even been able to count.”

The shooting happened near Hart and Creek Streets in Nashville. Authorities added that they’ve been following strong leads in this case, but as of publication, they had not made any arrests.

Amber said that she hadn’t seen Christopher in two years.

“I had surprised his mom with a visit from him. I went to the bus station and picked him up and brought him to my house. He spent about four days with us,” Amber said. “Last time I seen him was dropping him off at the bus station.”
