    It’s Fall Y’all: 10 Middle TN festivals to check out in 2024

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — It’s almost time to say goodbye to scorching heat and beach vacations, and hello to colorful leaves and everything pumpkin spice.

    With fall right around the corner, here are festivals in Middle Tennessee to look forward to:

    Cheekwood Harvest

    Get ready for an explosion of pumpkins and chrysanthemums for the whole family to enjoy during Cheekwood Harvest at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. During the month-long event, attendees will get the chance to view more than 75,000 pumpkins, more than 4,000 chrysanthemums and enjoy music in the beer garden.

    According to festival organizers, a crowd-favorite — the Community Scarecrow Trail – will return this year. The harvest will run from September 14 until October 27. Tickets can be purchased here .

    Nashville Fall Festival

    The Nashville Fall Festival is returning for its third year on Friday, Sept. 20. According to the event organizers , the festival is held in West Nashville along 66 acres of land. Attendees can enjoy a corn maze, sunflower field, hayrides, gorgeous pumpkins, food trucks and plenty of family-friendly activities.

    Hot-air balloon rides and helicopter rides will also be available at the festival on select days, per the website. To purchase tickets, click here .

    Bell Witch Fall Festival

    Prepare to enjoy a five week festival that celebrates the famous legend of Adams, Tennessee — The Bell Witch. The kickoff for the annual festival begins Sept. 22, with the performance of “Red River Tales,” which explores the stories from hills and hollers of Tennessee. After that, a musical “Smoke: A Ballad of the Night Riders” will tell shed light against corporate greed that turned farmer against farmer and gave rise to the Night Riders. The final performance, “Spirit: The Authentic Story of the Bell Witch of Tennessee” takes the stage on Oct. 17.

    Boo at the Zoo

    Nashville Zoo will bring back its highly anticipated fall event “Boo at the Zoo” the second week in October. The event will return at the zoo for 21 nights, featuring dozens of fall-themed scenery and activities for the family to enjoy.

    Some fan favorites at the event includes trick-or-treat stations, spooky decorations, pumpkin painting and the Monster Mash dance floor. Tickets are available for purchase here .

    Nashville Oktoberfest

    Enjoy some of the best beers imported straight from Germany the first weekend of October in the Germantown neighborhood of Nashville.

    Even if you’re not a fan of beer, Oktoberfest still has something for you! The event will feature plenty of German food from dozens of vendors, live German music, a pup parade and the 2nd largest 5K Race & Run in Tennessee.

    Main Street Festival

    Gallatin’s annual fall event—Main Street Festival—is set for the first Saturday in October! According to event organizers, the festival has grown in size with more than 200 vendors, and attracting more than 30,000 visitors. In addition to hundreds of vendors, attendees can also expect arts and crafts, live musical performances and plenty of food.

    Pumpkinfest

    A Williamson County classic returns to Franklin in October! The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County’s 39th annual Pumpkinfest is set to take place Saturday, Oct. 26, on Main Street. In 2023, event organizers said more than 115,000 people attended the festival. The event offers something for individuals of all ages, including more than 140 arts and crafts vendors, at least 30 food vendors, live music, costume contests, and autumn-inspired drinks.

    Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival

    Dave Matthews Band, Noah Kahan, Hozier and NEEDTOBREATHE are just a few artists expected to grace the stage at this year’s Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festiva l. The 10th anniversary of the festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin.     Tennessee Beer, Wine and Shine Festival

    The Tennessee Beer, Wine and Shine Festival is held the third Saturday at Two Rivers Mansion in Donelson. Every year, event organizers say more than 2,500 people attend the event, sampling more than 100 beer and 90 selections of wine. Since the festival began in 2010, more than $700,000 has been raised for non-profit organizations in the Hermitage and Donelson communities.

    Honeysuckle Hill Farm Fall Festival

    The Honeysuckle Hill Farm in Springfield has been entertaining families for years with over 30+ activities to explore during the fall season. While visiting the month-long fall festival on the 200-acre family farm, families can pick the perfect pumpkin, listen to the singing chicken show, and watch the hillbilly pig races every weekend.
