CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The month of September marks another year without answers in three cold case homicides out of Clarksville.

It’s been close to two decades since a Fort Cambell soldier was murdered outside a local nightspot, and nearly three decades since two other men were killed under suspicious circumstances.

However, in each case, detectives are still working to identify the people responsible. All three cases are among a handful of unsolved murders in which tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.

Earlier this year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Board unanimously voted to increase the cash reward amount in unsolved homicides that occurred in or before 2018.

In order to be eligible for the reward, the information provided must lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the crime.

Below are just some of the cases still under investigation and any known information about the circumstances surrounding the murders.

    Edwin Mathurin

Around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 2, 2006, a person dialed 911 to let authorities know someone had been shot in the parking lot of the River’s Edge nightclub.

When officers with the Clarksville Police Department arrived, they found 21-year-old Edwin Mathurin dead. Further investigation revealed that a fight may have led up to the shooting. However, few other details are known.

To this day, detectives are still trying to identify Mathurin’s killer. Mathurin, who was originally from Missouri, was serving as a soldier in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Campbell at the time of his death.

    Aaron Walker

On Sept. 26, 1995, officers with the Clarksville Police Department responded to Sunnydale Mobile Home Park Lot No. 7, where they found Aaron Walker dead from a gunshot wound to his head.

During the investigation, detectives said they learned that four people with ski masks had been seen entering the mobile home that day. At least one of the alleged intruders was heard yelling, “Where’s the money, we’re not playing.”

One of the people then shot Walker and they all fled the scene, police said. A witness reportedly spotted them leaving in a blue Toyota, ’85 model, two-door spots car that had been parked about 50 yards away.

However, none of the suspects have been identified.

    Terry Hoskins

On Sept. 28, 1996, a Clarksville resident reportedly came across human remains in the 1600 block of Paradise Hill Road. Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department launched an investigation after receiving notice of the discovery.

Authorities were later able to identify the remains as 33-year-old Terry Hoskins. While his death is being investigated as a homicide, little else is known about the circumstances.
