NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Neighbors told News 2 they are shocked and saddened by the news of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) finding human remains at a home where authorities were previously searching for a missing woman.

Authorities were searching for 23-year-old Blanca Guadalupe Berrios Orellana, from Antioch. The TBI added further testing is required to confirm the identity of the remains.

“There isn’t any place for that in this world,” nearby resident Larry Bailey said. “Whoever it is that did this, they need to be found.”

Residents in the community with just over 100 people said that this is the last thing they’d expect in the small unincorporated neighborhood of Norene.

“Everyone pretty much knows everyone,” Bailey added. “Everyone’s pretty much lived out here their entire lives.”

Other residents, who didn’t want to appear on camera, said that the area is a normally quiet and peaceful.

Orellana, who was reported missing by her mother Ines Berrios on August 21, was last seen at her Antioch apartment in August. Berrios told News 2 that Orellana’s car was found parked at her stepfather’s house, but the family hasn’t been able to get ahold of him.

Neighbors in the area reported seeing Orellana working at the home on Burnt House Road a few weeks ago for her job in the cleaning business.
