    1 flown to Nashville hospital following Clarksville crash

    CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Thursday morning crash sent one motorist to the hospital and shut down multiple lanes along a Clarksville road, according to authorities.

    The Clarksville Police Department said the wreck took place shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 in the 1100 block of Cumberland Drive at Liberty Park.

    Law enforcement said one of the drivers had to be removed from her vehicle and is being flown to Nashville via LifeFlight helicopter. There is no word on her condition at this time, but Fatal Crash investigators are reportedly processing the scene.

    At 10:05 a.m., officials announced the northbound lanes of Cumberland Drive were completely blocked and traffic was being diverted onto Southern Drive. The road was reportedly back open by 2:46 p.m.

    No additional details have been released about the circumstances surrounding this crash.
