MNPD’s Organized Retail Crime and Fraud Units, working with SWAT and East Precinct Patrol officers, arrested 44-year-old Hector Ibanes-Huerta and 41-year-old Kay Powers after authorities found 250 stolen items in a home on Pinehurst Drive.

A press release from MNPD said that “detectives seized more than $60,000 worth of stolen construction equipment and tools” from area businesses. Additionally, authorities recovered four guns from the home; two of the guns were registered as stolen out of Nashville.

Neither Ibanes-Huerta nor Powers were legally allowed to possess a firearm. Ibanes-Huerta and Powers reportedly admitted that they knew the items were stolen before posting them for resale on Facebook Marketplace.
