    Nashville Fire Department seeks identity of Madison Dollar General arson suspect

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) has asked for the public’s help identifying a man they say intentionally set fire inside a Madison Dollar General.

    According to NFD, firefighters responded to a fire call at around 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. The call said there was a fire inside the Madison Square Dollar General, and the store had been evacuated.

    Man wanted for hit-and-run that killed child

    The suspect reportedly set fire to the lighter display at the store.

    Surveillance cameras captured images of the person NFD Fire Investigators are searching for, and the NFD has asked the public to help them identify the person.

    Anyone with any other information on this fire is asked to call the NFD Arson Hotline at 615-862-5640 . You can also call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017 .

    The hotline is answered 24 hours a day, and tips can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward up to $5,000 if they lead to an arrest or conviction.
