EAGLEVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — It was a beautiful October day in Middle Tennessee, so News 2’s Davis Nolan took a trip to Lucky Ladd Farms as part of his Fall Funtacular series.

Earlier this year, Lucky Ladd Farms temporarily closed after its buildings and property were significantly damaged from severe weather that came through the area.

In fact, the massive cleanup effort took nearly a month to accomplish. Owner Amy Ladd said the farm lost “five structures, two greenhouses, and over 100 trees,” but no one was hurt.

However, they have cleaned up from that and are now open for business again. Amy and Jason Ladd brought the farm to Middle Tennessee years ago, which features many attractions for people of all ages.

Owners said fall at Lucky Ladd Farms brings a “harvest-time experience like no other.”

“Lucky Ladd in the fall, I think it’s kind of magical,” Amy told News 2. ”The whole farm is decorated for fall. Lots of photo ops. When people come out, of course they love the animals. And we’ve expanded upon the animals with our nature trail.”

According to the farm’s website , the Family Fun Festival has been named No. 1 and among the best family attractions by various publications, with one even calling it the “top five best pumpkin farm events in the south.”

In addition to the pumpkin patch, Amy said there are several attractions that brings families to the farm.

“So, there’s lots of fun activities related to animals. Of course, we’ve got acres of playgrounds. Everyone loves going down the mega slides, enjoying the train rides,” she added. “Of course it wouldn’t be fall without the farm being decorated from front to back with all kinds of photo ops, and the corn maze is really challenging. A lot of people are saying it’s our hardest one yet. So we’ve got enough that you’re gonna spend several hours out here, usually three to four hours, and a whole day of fun.”
