On Wednesday morning, officials located the 16-year-old during arrival and found that he had a loaded handgun in his pants. Police said the gun was not reported stolen and the student claimed it did not belong to him.

The 16-year-old was charged in Juvenile Court with juvenile handgun possession and carrying a gun on school property, according to MNPD.
