1 dead after shooting in Madison: MNPD

MADISON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officials are investigating a shooting in Madison on Saturday night that left one man dead.

Metro police officers were called to the scene near the 1300 block of Gallatin Pike South just before 9:30 p.m.

There, they found a male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, officers said. He was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where he later died.

Homicide and crime scene investigators responded to the scene.

No additional information was immediately released.
