Illinois Lottery Winner Reveals What She'll Buy With $1 Million Ticket

This is the reality for one lucky Illinois woman after recently purchasing a $25 Diamond Crossword scratch-off lottery ticket from the Monee Tobacco located at 5701 West Monee Manhattan Road in Monee (a Chicago suburb). The fortunate winner told Illinois Lottery officials that her husband usually stops at the store on his way home from work , and was tired that day, but decided to stop anyways.

"My husband was on his way home from work and was so tired that day he didn’t want to stop at the store. He knows I like crosswords and puzzles in general, so he bought me a $25 Diamond Crossword scratch-off lottery ticket." And good thing he did, because they are now $1 million richer!

The unnamed lottery player continued, revealing who she told about the amazing win first.

"The only people we’ve told so far are our kids. Each of us had the same shocked reaction and didn’t believe we’d really won a million dollars." As for what she plans to do with the money, the lottery player is going to purchase property for her family!

"I’ve always dreamed of buying a house. It would be fabulous to finally say 'We own this home.' After taking care of a few other necessary purchases, choosing the perfect house for our family will be the top priority."

The Monee Tobacco store that sold the winning ticket also received a $10,000 bonus just for being the store to sell the ticket!
