use a helmet, always be aware of your surroundings, ride with friends its more fun and safety in numbers, don't drive on highway or public road and if you're going to at least respect traffic laws. I know folks who can't afford a car and use atvs as main mode of transportation and hope state laws change to allow folks like that to legally use them. it's no different for motorcycles the way I see it just put road tires on and go
